OPS State Law Enforcement Dispatcher (Part-Time)
The Florida Highway Patrol is now offering part-time Other Personal Services (OPS) positions on a pilot basis, marking the first time they have provided such opportunities. All applicants must meet the requirements listed below. As a part-time OPS SLED position, individuals may work up to twenty-four (24) hours per week. The flexible scheduling may appeal to candidates who wish to remain employed with their current agency but are available to work outside of their usual shifts at an rate of $24 per hour. Please note that standard state benefits such as; state group insurances and FRS are not available for this position. A temporary position in a state agency is one that is authorized under section 110.131, Florida Statutes, and is paid from a non-salary account including an other personal services or an OPS account. These positions are subject to durational restrictions specified by law. If anyone is interested in this they can send their resume to the website listed on the brochure attached. The OPS SLED would be required to perform all duties of the career service SLED, which includes answering incoming phone calls and dispatching field personnel via radio.
